A New Christmas Arrangement

I usually write Christmas arrangements in the Spring and Easter Arrangements at Christmas, but this time, I have something new for Christmas AT CHRISTMAS TIME! (I know. Crazy.)
It is an SATB of O Little Town of Bethlehem. It starts out delicately and builds. There is one small a Capella section - Don't panic! It's short!

New Easter Hymn Arrangement

Someone requested a choir arrangement of "Christ the Lord is Risen Today." So, here it is. In SATB. The challenge with a hymn like this is to get an anthem-like sound without making it too difficult.  I started out writing the accompaniment with octaves, but thought some of you might show up at my house with torches and pitch forks. So I simplified it. Feel free to add them back in if you are the adventurous type.

Love One Another Update

In my original arrangement of Love One Another, I had the descant sung in a higher range. Later, I lowered that part thinking it would be easier. After hearing a wonderful Institute Choir from Japan sing it in its original form, I changed it back.

Love One Another

On June 12, 2019, an institute choir sang my arrangement of Love One Another for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Worldwide broadcast for Seminary and Institute training. It begins about 10 minutes and 30 seconds into the broadcast.

Another Hymn arrangement tweaked and simplified. The good news is, I'm up to the "O"s. Be sure to check out your favorites for changes and improvements!

I Know that my Redeemer Lives

I simplified this one and recorded a new audio file that is less mechanical. I hope.

How Great Thou Art

I understood that How Great Thou Art was in the public domain, but I was informed that is not the case, so I must delete the arrangements of How Great Thou Art.

Faith of Our Fathers

I'm up to "Faith of Our Fathers SATB in my effort to update and clean up my files. I've taken pity on the tenors and let the basses join them in the second verse. Also, I've tried to make the key change smoother.

Why?

And I tried to squish as many notes onto one page, why?
That is the question I keep asking myself as I rework some of these hymns.
Sigh.

Oh No! A High E!

As I'm going through all the music on my site, I come upon a place where I had the nerve to ask Basses sing a high E! What was I thinking? I'm a little surprised you men didn't come after me with torches and pitch forks!

In any case. I have come to my senses and have reworked that section.

Thanks for your patience

I was listening to the playback of "I know That My Redeemer Lives" and it stopped halfway through! What? OK. I have to fix that! But I don't have time right now. I am working on a major project with a deadline. Alright, I'll fix it when I can.

Thanks for your patience!
